Snow Days…
So it is snowing outside Valentine Wolfe HQ. We like snow. I’ve posted pictures on our facebook-you should be able to see it even if you don’t have a facebook.
I’m not a fan of facebook. I hate how you can’t edit your updates. I hate how when I try to edit them anyway, the text formats all postmodern art/haiku looking. It vexes me. Mostly because I’d rather be writing music.
And speaking of…
We’re in the polishing stages of some new songs and have started writing more. With each new song, our musical identity gets a bit sharper. There are two new songs that we had though were consigned to the pit of despair (in a bad way), but we’ve managed to come with something we like.
this means that as we keep writing and hopefully, playing out more, we are gradually going to phase some of the songs from Five Nocturnes out…We’ll probably be adding The Sisters back into future sets. I’m not sure about Insecurity. We’ve been kicking around the idea of a total re-write of that song.
We’ve also been kicking around an idea of more music for downloads. Forever Embrace, Kissing Twilight, and When Love Decays are forming the core of a song cycle-we’ll be adding 2-3 other songs to it, and we though collecting those into one volume would be cool.
We also have some orphan songs, demos, and other debris that we may let see the light of day…
Finally, we hope to announce some live shows around Greenville soon…we’re getting to the point where it is pretty easy for us put a show together on one or two rehearsals, so hopefully, this will translate into more chances to see us live.
